About Us
Leroli is a sustainable womenswear brand inspired by travel. We believe in dressing in bright colors and bold patterns, and choosing to be as ethically conscious as possible in our process.
Who We Are
We are Roberto and Liang, a husband and wife duo based in New York City. We love to take inspiration from the places we travel to and translate them into each collection.
Leroli is a passion project and labor of love for us. Our small team of just two runs the whole operation from design, to customer support, to packing and shipping.
Roberto’s background is in fashion design, HR, and law; Liang is a designer and creative director. We love French food, listening to jazz music when we’re working, collecting plants, and making ceramics.
We always dreamed of working together side-by-side, and Leroli is where we made that dream a reality. We are passionate about creating a brand that’s colorful, fun, and bold, while being sustainable and ethical.
Made in
New York City
Our clothes are made in the historical Garment District of New York City. We visit and hand select every manufacturing partner we work with to ensure work conditions are safe, clean, and that sowers make a living wage. We also stop by on the regular to say hi to the ladies working on your clothes, check on the process, and build close relationships with the owners.
Our Fabrics
We only work with fabrics that are natural/from botanical origins, renewable, and biodegradable. We avoid virgin synthetics like polyester and nylon. We source our fabrics from countries that have strict environmental standards, like Germany, Italy, and Japan. These are the fibers we use in our clothes:
TENCEL®
TENCEL® is a fiber made from sustainably grown eucalyptus trees on farms where no pesticides are used. Eucalyptus trees can grow rapidly on low-grade land that typically can’t be used for other types of farming, and requires 80% less water than cotton to grow.
It’s made in a closed-loop process where the water and solvents are re-used at a recovery rate of over 99%, preventing water pollution. This is considered to be one of the most sustainable fabrics available, and what the majority of our collection is made of.
This fabric is Oeko-Tex 100 certified.
Organic Cotton + Cotton
We use cotton (with a preference for organic cotton) because it’s a natural and breathable fabric, that’s renewable and biodegradable.
Our organic cotton is made in Germany and is Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified and OCS 100 certified to be organic. Our non-organic cotton is sourced from Japan.
Cupro
Cupro is another one of our favorite fibers. Made from cotton linter (the fibers that surround cotton seeds), it is typically thrown out during the cotton production process. It’s now being recycled to make this super silky material, and is often referred to as vegan silk.
Similar to TENCEL®, it’s made in a closed-loop process that reuses the solvents and water, keeping the environment clean.
Linen
A natural fiber made from flax plants, linen is one of the most sustainable fibers around. It can be grown on rough terrain that’s unsuitable for food production, and requires very little water. Super durable, and breathable, it only gets better with age. Every wash softens the fabric, making it more and more comfortable to wear. It’s also biodegradable.
